
2025 – NZCT Chamber Music Contest
A new septet was formed this year to compete in the NZCT Chamber Music Competitions starting with the Wellington round on 7 June. The group, comprised of three violinists, one pianist, two viola players and one bass player, performed music composed by Virtuoso Strings Director of Education Craig Utting and son Teddy Sneyd-Utting. They were 1st place in the Wellington District Round and 1st place in the Lower North Island Regionals. They also won the Best Performance of a New Zealand Composition for the whole contest this year.
